Search

Search should help a reader find a Casino, understand an Offer or read an experience without choosing a different search tool for each task. The agreed direction uses one query entry point for Casinos, Bonus Offers, articles, game providers, games and publicly visible reviews. Results are grouped by type, so a Casino is not ranked in one mixed list against an article or a review. Each group has a route to the full results of that type.

Factual matches and topical results

Casino and Bonus Offer results must meet the applicable conditions using structured published facts. An article or publicly visible review may appear because it is relevant to the topic, but a mention in its text does not show that a Casino or offer meets a factual condition.

Search is intended to handle names, alternate names, incomplete input, and spelling errors. A bounded set of known conditions can also be expressed in a query. Recognized conditions appear as filters that readers can inspect or change. If a condition is ambiguous, search should ask for clarification rather than silently guess. A selected filter stays in force until the reader confirms a suggested replacement. Quick suggestions while typing use names; full condition interpretation runs when the reader submits the query. The design does not promise unrestricted interpretation of any description.

Relevance comes before rating. A rating applies to the entity it evaluates; a Casino's rating does not automatically change the order of positive and negative review text. Where no rating signal is defined, relevance and stable tie ordering apply. The exact rating sources and detailed ordering rules remain open. The exact supported conditions and commercial placement rules are also open; commerce does not enter organic ranking.

Why structured conditions matter

An illustrative request for Casinos accepting Method A deposits in EUR with a minimum no greater than EUR 20 needs one supported payment condition that meets all those requirements. Separate facts that a Casino accepts Method A, supports EUR somewhere and has a low minimum on another method cannot establish the combined match. The payment conditions described under Casino profiles must remain correlated in search too.

Offer filters likewise need the relevant Market, currency, eligibility and benefit scope. A maximum award is not a cashout cap, and an unknown value cannot satisfy a condition by default. A reviewed narrative about an unfamiliar feature can help readers understand it without supplying a structured filter.

The initial result types do not automatically expand when the proposed catalogue adds VIP programmes or promotional events. Providers and games are already in the search direction, but their identities, public eligibility and references still need defined contracts. A provider logo list cannot stand in for verified game availability.

Published content and freshness

Search uses published content and appropriate public product data. Publication changes should trigger updates, while withdrawals must survive retries and late older updates. The index is a derived view, so a result may lag a publication; it is not permission to publish or perform a product action. Exact update and withdrawal timing remains open.

The design includes response-time goals, but the corpus, workload and measurement conditions still need agreement. No measured performance or numeric freshness guarantee is established by these requirements.

Market and language

The initial Casino and Bonus Offer search design uses one selected market at a time. The market remains visible, and a query that suggests a different market should ask before changing it. Market context is separate from the language of the search interface.

The agreed search scope includes English, German, French, and Swedish. Search should prefer a result in the reader's language when available and label an English fallback. This does not mean every Casino profile or article exists in all four languages.

See markets and languages for more on market context, and scope and status for implementation evidence.

The search review brief asks which supported conditions, clarifications and examples should define the first useful experience.
